drive C: You choose this as an selectable option when Acronis runs ,either from the recovery disk or run from Windows.If you install "Recovery Manager" on my " OS" you "hit " F-11 at boot time, this will enter you into Acronis just like running the "Recovery Disk" On my system i had a recovery partition as well, it was labeled "D:" I have since deleted it and use Acronis for all my backups. When you make a "Recovery Disk" you run it at boot time then you have the "options" as to what you want to do( back up, recover, clone, etc.) You will not loose your hidden data partition if you just back up or restore your "OS". you should always include what "OS" you are using and the build of Acronis as well.
